Social responsibility is at the heart of any business seeking to build a stronger community. At Offbeat Eats, we take that idea seriously. That is why we will be partnering with church and community groups primarily located in neighborhoods of Baltimore that are considered “food deserts”.
The definition of a food desert is defined as an area where it is difficult to buy affordable or high-quality fresh food. All too often, these areas coincide with some of the poorest areas of the city, exacerbating the problems that the impoverished face.
Our partnerships will bring pop-up fresh produce markets featuring Offbeat Eats’ fruits and vegetables at an even steeper discount to bring healthy, affordable options to residents of our city who suffer from a lack of choice in the food most available to them.
Together, we can build a stronger, healthier Baltimore.
